Heri Kwetu’s Community Integration Workshops and Celebration
NCISE members Heri Kwetu, a pan African refugee support organisation based in Nottingham, held a morning of workshops and an afternoon of celebration on Friday 27th March.
The workshops brought together refugee community organisations and public sector agencies in a conversation about how they can all work together for the benefit of the people they serve. The results of these valuable discussions will be published soon in a report by Heri Kwetu.
The family celebration at the Vine Centre saw community integration in practice as it gathered together members of Nottinghamshire’s migrant communities as well as local people for an afternoon of music, art, food, face painting and fun for all.
