Nottinghamshire AGM
NCISE Nottinghamshire’s AGM was held on February 9th 2009 at New Brook House and was very well attended by individuals from new communities’ organisations from all over Nottinghamshire.
The high level of attendance reflects the considerable growth in our membership over the last 6 months, which means that we now number 28 organisations and counting. The AGM featured a highly enlightening presentation by NCISE East Midlands Chair Ferid Kevric about the history and role of NCISE from a regional perspective, reports from officers and workers and (of course) a very tasty buffet provided by our friends at the Kurdistan restaurant on Bentick Rd.
The Constitution was approved and the new NCISE Nottinghamshire Management Committee elected and welcomed on board. The groups now represented on the Committee are: Heri Kwetu, African Initiative Support, Polish Community Centre, The Sudanese Society in Nottingham, The Word of Life Celebration Church, Nigerian Community Group, Nottingham Zimbabwe Community Network, the Romanian Orthodox Parish and the Nottingham Congolese Community. NCISE also extended its sincere thanks to those who had represented on the Committee during the previous year.
