Local Launch:

Our launch took place on Thursday 7th February 2008 at the LCB Depot in Leicester to mark the achievements of NCISE Leicestershire and celebrated how far the group had come since it was initiated.

Community members came to find how their group could benefit by getting involved in NCISE. Stalls were held by NCISE members who were given the opportunity to showcase the work done by their own groups and enabled attendees to network with other new community groups and organisations to share their knowledge and experience.

Development workers were on hand to give advice and guests were able to meet successful social entrepreneurs and learn about the important issues to consider.

The Major of Leicester and representatives from Leicester city council, the Leicester LSC, Leicester College, Refugee Action and local organisations such as EthniKcity attended the event.

Good food and refreshments were provided which always makes for a good celebration!
